Christmas Tree Event and Christmas Market

A wonderful event to start the Christmas season, come and see over 20 Christmas Trees decorated by various charities and transforming our church into a Christmas wonderland.  Together with our Christmas Market, with a cafe, crafts and stalls, it is a great way to spend a few hours in the run up to Christmas.  We would love to see you.  Entrance is free.

A beautiful service for all the family, make a Christingle during the service - don't worry if you have never made one, we will show you how and give you all the things you need - and then see the church illuminated by the candles.  It is a lovely service to begin our Christmas services here at St John's.

Christmas Day

To celebrate the birth of our Saviour we have a short service, with communion, at 10am on Christmas Day.  Singing well known carols we welcome children to bring a present to show or just come for a quiet reflection on the significance of the big day.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Welcome to St John's

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. When you arrive you can be assured of a warm welcome.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits at the end of the service. It is a great way to meet people. All refreshments are free.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcomers know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a toilet accessible to wheelchair users in the hall.

Our Service

The service begins at 10.30am with a warm welcome from one of our team members along with anything we have to give thanks for. Following this we have a song.  During our services we try to have a balance of traditional, modern and new worship. One of our leaders will then give a bible based talk that we can apply to our everyday life.  After that, we sing again before a time of prayer which will be led by the leader. We then finish with a final worship song. The whole service lasts around 45 minutes.

What about my children?

Children stay with their parent or grown-up, we have an area at the back of church with toys. There are baby changing facilities in the hall  We love having children in our services, they are valued members of our church.
